Bill White As Mayor of Houston, Bill White has been re-elected twice with margins of 86% and 91%. He is a former Deputy Secretary of Energy of the United States , and John F. Kennedy Profiles in Courage Award for ” leading a compassionate and effective government response to the (Hurricane Katrina) disaster.” White has received praise from both sides of the aisle for his fiscally responsible and pragmatic approach to governing as awarded the 2007 Public Official of the Year by Governing Magazine.

Linda Chavez-Thompson A former Executive Vice-President of the National AFL-CIO,she was the first woman and the first person of color to hold that position. She was appointed to President Bill Clinton’s Race Advisory Board, and the President’s Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities. In 2004, the American Association of People with Disabilities’ (AAPD) created an award in her name to recognize commitment to those with disabilities within the labor movement.

John Sharp Elected and re-elected by Texas voters six times, John Sharp has server this state as a state Representative, state Senator, Railroad Commissioner, and state Comptroller. As Comptroller he launched the Texas Tommorow Fund, the Lone Star Card program, and the Window on State Government, the first state website in the country and a model for opening up government to those who depend on its programs.

Abel Bosquez, has been the chairman of the Potter County Democratic Party the last four years.  He believes teachers should be one of the highest paid professionals and that State government should make sure teachers are paid for the work they do. He also believes that schools should offer classes that teach trades , such as auto mechanics,  to give students who are not necessarily college-bound better opportunities in the work force.

Barbara Ann Radnofsky is a Texas-educated lawyer who was honored as the Outstanding Young Lawyer of Texas in 1988 and has been listed for the past 16 years in “Best Lawyers in America” and currently holds the honor in four areas. She volunteers as a peer mediation teacher in Houston schools. She and her husband own the Brazos Bookstore in Houston.

He believes Texans’ utility bills are too high, and that in tough economic times, burdens felt by individual consumers who are fighting to make ends meet should be shared by the utility companies too. Jeff lives in Houston with his wife Dinah and their 5 children. He serves as the Democratic Precinct Chair for Precinct 274.

Uribe has extensive experience in legislative and governmental advocacy having served almost a decade in the Texas Senate and 3 years in the Texas House.

Hank Gilbert Lifelong rancher and former Agricultural Commissioner Hank Gilbert has been instrumental in raising public awareness about eminent domain abuse and the Trans-Texas Corridor projects in Texas. He believes the solution for protecting and developing Texas’ agriculture productivity is to elect leadership that offers fresh ideas for tomorrow’s challenges. As Agriculture Commissioner he will work to increase markets for Texas products around the world and to create new agricultural industries in the state and job opportunities for rural Texans.
