A letter to voters from the Potter County Chairman

Dear Voters,

Tomorrow March 2nd we are having the Primary Election.  The Potter Randall Democratic Primary Headquarters will be staffed all day with at least one person so that we can take calls from anyone that might have questions or might need a ride to the polls.  Please feel free to call 806-379-9230 or come by our location at 1306 W 8th here in Amarillo if you need campaign information and stickers or would like to make a donation.  Please remember that it is our civic duty to participate in our electoral process.

It is also our duty to participate in the direction of our party.  We have precinct conventions immediately following the election on Tuesday.  At 7:15 PM following the closing of the polls, you are invited to attend your precinct convention in the same location as your precinct polling location.  All but eight of the precincts already have a precinct chair to help get the convention started.  There is a precinct convention packet for those eight for a primary voter to convene the precinct meeting.  The packets contain all the necessary information, forms, and rules for conducting the precinct meeting.  Also included is my contact information if anyone has any questions on what they need to do.

I would like to thank everyone that has helped to make our primary election a success.  Thank you for all your efforts.  I would like to offer special thanks to Leslie Crawford without whom none of this would be possible.  Thanks to all the clerks and judges that work tirelessly throughout the day to make sure that our elections are conducted smoothly and fairly, to the precinct chairs who have committed time and resources to ensure that all the voters in the county will have  a chance to participate in the Democratic Party caucuses, and to the county clerk office who has worked hard to make sure that elections work efficiently in Potter County.

Bad officials are elected by good citizens who do not vote.   Please remember to vote tomorrow, March 2nd.  There is a link @ amarilloareademocrats.org to find your polling location.

Sincerely,

Toby Lankford

Potter County Chairman for the Democratic Party
