Looking for a Democratic group to join?

The Amarillo Area Democratic Headquarters is open to all Democrats, Independents, undeclared’ s and Republicans looking to convert. There are no fees or painful rituals involved. Just call, email, or show up at an event and you are sure to make some great new friends!

If you are looking to join a specific kind of Democratic group (young people, GLBT, campus organization, ect. ) we can help.

First, check out the different groups in our menu. If you still have not found the group of your dreams- do not despair. We can still help you find the Democrats you are looking for.

Just send us an email telling us a little about yourself and what you are looking for, and we will help you find the right group for you. If that still doesn’t fit your needs then create your own group right here!

Create Your Own Democratic Club or Group at AADH

Democratic groups can create their own site, get connected with group members and other Democrats and even start a new Democratic club or group right here on the AADH site.

Groups  can:

• Create and mange a unique web blog  on the AADH domain using the WordPress platform.
• Create a unique look for the blog site using any available Wordpress theme.
• Create and manage user and subscriber accounts.
• Allow or disallow user comments, moderate comments.
• Broaden site functionality with wordpress plugins.
• Utilize the AADH Buddypress social networking platform to connect with group members, send messages, schedule events, and more.

Wordrpress and Buddypress are free and open source, you will not need any knowledge of html or coding to use these tools- just an internet connection.

Now the Disclaimers…..

For established Democratic groups we must be able to verify  that you have the proper authorization to set up a site.

New groups can be created by anyone -but we reserve the right to dissociate with any group. If that happens you will be free to take your blog to another domain.

AADH will not offer technical support for user blogs. If you have a question or a problem, feel free to submit it to the webmaster and we will do our best to help you out, but no guarantees. You are always free to find your own techie or just access any one of the many Wordpress user support forums on the internet.
